1. Who We Are

Clear2Land is developed by YFCE, a small independent team based in Belfast, United Kingdom. For privacy enquiries, contact us via our Discord server.

2. No Telemetry

Clear2Land does not phone home. The desktop application does not collect analytics, usage statistics, crash reports, or any other telemetry data unless you explicitly opt in to the feedback system. Your career data, flight logs, and settings are stored locally on your computer in a SQLite database. We never see them.

3. What We Collect

We only collect data when you actively use an online feature:

• Leaderboard submissions: When you submit a landing score, we store your callsign, score, aircraft type, airport, runway, and a timestamp. Your IP address is logged for rate limiting and is retained for up to 30 days.
• Shared cockpit / multiplayer: When you join a multiplayer session, the relay server processes your callsign, aircraft position, and session data in real time. This data is not stored after your session ends.
• Feedback (opt-in): If you choose to send feedback on exit, your message, rating, and optional contact info are transmitted to our feedback endpoint. Diagnostics bundles (logs) are included only if you check the box.
• World map / presence: If you go online, your callsign and approximate position are visible to other players on the world map. You can disable this in settings.

4. What We Don't Collect

• No email addresses (unless you voluntarily provide one in feedback)
• No real names
• No hardware fingerprints
• No browsing or usage analytics
• No third-party tracking pixels, cookies, or advertising

5. Data Storage

Online data is stored on infrastructure we control:

• Leaderboard: Cloudflare D1 (Cloudflare's edge database)
• Relay server: Self-hosted VPS (IONOS, Germany)
• Website: Cloudflare Pages (static, no server-side processing)

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third party. Cloudflare and IONOS act as data processors under their respective privacy policies.

6. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of any data we hold about you
• Erasure: Request deletion of your data
• Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Objection: Object to processing of your data

To exercise these rights, contact us on Discord. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

7. Cookies

This website does not use cookies. The leaderboard and world map do not use cookies. Cloudflare may set a security cookie (__cf_bm) for bot protection -- this is managed by Cloudflare, not by us.

8. Children

Clear2Land is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as features change. Material changes will be announced on our Discord server. The "last updated" date below reflects the most recent revision.
